I have a penchant for Buick Skylark Wire Wheels since we saw them in 1954-55 and I put a set of them on my 58 Impala in 1963. Tidwell bested 17 other custom trucks in the class for the title World’s Most Beautiful Truck. It looked like a museum piece/show car and was a daily driver back then. At the time, this phaeton was one of a kind and well-built to boot. YRMVĪnother 1932 Ford hot rod would be Jim Lattin’s two toned Phaeton. Or for this post, within the top 90 list. This Red 1932 roadster belongs on that list to make it 76 of “The 75 Most Significant ’32 Ford Hot Rods.” How many of those on the list were experienced by those involved in the hot rod world? If the experience of riding along in a 32 roadster is noted, then the list obviously left off one fabulous roadster. Photographs did make it look great, but the actual roadster itself, as noted by my invitation to ride along with Jack Stewart, solidified my knowledge of a well built roadster. How could any list not have the nicest 1932 Ford Roadster built by Jack Stewart? It is an iconic red 32 roadster and many have seen it all over So Cal when it was active. I do not have a problem with any of the Deuces chosen at that time but there were a few I thought could have been included. It has been 15 years since the list of “The 75 Most Significant ’32 Ford Hot Rods” was chosen and published here, in books and magazines.
